Review | Revlon colorstay!

Hi guys! I recently bought three Revlon Colorstay lipstick/gloss because my sister told me how awesome it is. So I thought I should try it out as well.. I can honestly can say that I've never been quite so impressed of a make-up item before! The color actually stays! The liquid of the lip gloss is a bit watery just like a liptint one but with more pigments. The watery liquid dries out quickly (less than 3 minutes) and becomes matte on your lips. Even after drinking hot tea or eating a sandwich, the color stays. It only leaves a little stain on the mug but the lips still look very spot on. I don't know what the actual retailer's price is since I bought mine for cheap at a fair, but I don't think it's more expensive than a mac lipstick since it's a more drugstorey brand. I can definitely recommend this product to anyone who find it annoying to keep on applying lipstick or who likes to eat and drink all day through (like me) and not worrying about your lipstick. So far I've only tried this red color called "top tomato" , can't wait to see what the other colors look like on.

EVENT | First time Huishoudbeurs (part 2 of 3)

 photo hhb38.gif

First thing's first..wow.. What an experience! I haven't been to the annual Huishoudbeurs before but I've heard so much about it. So when I got the chance to go to the fair as press, I knew it was time to go. I went there with my friend, Sara, and we both didn't know what to expect. We didn't want to waste any time, so we just went off right away after dropping some stuff at the lockers.

This would be the second post for the Huishoudbeurs 2014 mini-series and it's about the experiencing the fair. You can read and see more picture by clicking 'read more' below! For the first part of the series click here.

Haul & event | Huishoudbeurs 2014 (part 1 of 3)

Yesterday I went to the annual HuisHoudBeurs in Amsterdam and got some cute stuff! Firstly I want to say a lot of thanks to the HHB for inviting me to their event as press. It was my very first experience to their event and it was definitely one of the most versatile and fun convention/fair I've ever been to. I will post more about the experience tonight!

But for now I will show you a small haul I got from the fair. A cute laptop case from Muja Juma, never heard of this brand before but they sold all these kinds of cute laptop cases/bags that I've haven't seen before. It's made of all kinds of different fabrics put together. They told me that this was from four years ago winter collection so I got it for a reasonable price, 15 euros, and they also told me that they made sell only 300 pieces for each model! So if you're going to the fair, make sure to go to the Fashion/Beauty hall and get this piece for your self (or as a gift).

Another thing I bought are these Revlon colorstay lipcolours. My sister was so excited for this product when she bought it from her trip to Indonesia. And I don't really know where you can buy this brand in the Netherlands. They used to sell it at our local drugstore (Da) but I don't know if they still do. Nevertheless, you could never find these lipcolours for so cheap! They were three pieces for 10euros. Couldn't leave that behind!

Anyway, this was my small haul from the fair and stay tuned for another post about the fair's experience!

ootd | The Biker outfit

Primark denim blouse, New Look faux leather vest, Zara skort, Nike Air max Thea
Been out for a little while, but I'm back! Needed some time to get back on uni stuff and some time with some friends. I had a high school reunion last weekend because they were going to demolish the building and build a new one. So I met up with some high school friends and we relived some of our high school days (miss those simple days).

Some of you probably already know but another big reason that took up a lot of time was.. The Walking Dead. Yup, I went there. I am a sucker for a good tv series and this is another one that got me totally hooked. The thing that got me watching was actually because "the Conan show" did a spoof of the series and did some interviews with the actors. And because all series I am watching weekly are on a short break. So I started watching it on Saturday and have 8 episodes left to watch.. So that means I've watched 3 seasons, 37 episodes, 1665 minutes in 4.5 days. Is that considered healthy? The show is so good though! It absolutely deserve all the rage for it. If you can stomach lots of blood, organs and have a thing for zombies.. You should definitely start watching it.

My days filled with fighting zombies probably had affected my outfit of today. At least my interpretation of a though biker chick, who can kick zombies some asses, look. I've been wearing my Nikes a lot again (driving with sneakers is so much easier) and paired it with my Zara skort. On top I wore a button up denim blouse and to finish it added a faux leather vest. Don't know if I really like the combination of the leather and the skort though. I must have thought so in the morning.. You never know if you don't try, right?

What do you think of my biker outfit?

OOTD | Size it up!

H&M jacket, H&M blouse, SevenSisters jeans, H&M ankle boots
Have you ever seen a clothing item you've wanted for a while but not in your size? It's still worth to try it out! I've had times when I see something I like but not in my size but a few size up.. (it usually happens in Primark) and I just refuse to put it back on the rack again and just keep ahold of it. Until it's time to decide if I want to buy it or leave it. This blouse was one of those days. I saw it hanging on the sales rack and I really liked the layering detail of the blouse but it was as you can guess already too big. I think about three sizes up. But I just tried it on and I thought it was cute as a tunic.

So how do you decide to buy it? First you just look at the fit. Is it okay to wear it a bit oversized? You can always ask someone's opinion on it. Second if it doesn't fit, is it okay to belt it? Usually by cinching it in your waist, you instantly look more pulled together. So next time you see some cute blouse a few sizes too big, try it on! It doesn't really work with pants though.. Maybe the boyfriend fitted ones are okay.

Have you ever worn something a few sizes up than your size?

OOTD | Another plaid-ful day

Zara plaid shorts, Pieces grey sweater, Bershka kneehigh boots, Mango necklace

Another outfitpost with my Zara plaid shorts and kneehigh boots, but I couldn't help it! Especially since I got my driving license, the weather isn't really a big factor in my outfits anymore.. Courses are starting again and I'm feeling motivated to do this right! The coming week is still filled with fun stuff to do but I need to plan my free hours and study hours better this time and maybe this semester will be a little bit more stressfree.

Anyway, my first giveaway ever ended successfully! I wanted to thank all the participants and congratulate the winner. I will plan another giveaway soon! :)

NEW IN | Push & Move by OPI

I used to wear nail polishes a lot back in the days but now I just haven't got the time to actually remember putting it on. Yesterday I was buying a gift and came across this OPI nailpolish called "Push & Move", although I haven't bought any nailpolish above 3euros for such a long time. I knew it would be worth it. And after I tried it on I absolutely fell in love with it! It has this chrome look to it, making your outfit a bit more fabulous. The nailpolish comes with a small pot of polish for the base which you should apply first. After it dries you apply two thin coats of the "Push & Move" polish. You don't need to apply a top coat, it will probably lose that chromed mirror look to it.

It claims to have a reflective mirror finish and it does but it's still a bit more chrome than mirror. You won't have the same effect a nail foil paper would give, so if you're looking more of that sort, you won't be happy with the OPI one. Another thing, the durability of this nailpolish is a bit disappointing. I don't know if it's me or just OPI nailpolishes but I can see cracks here and there within a hour or two. Maybe it's because the missing top coat but when I apply an Essie nailpolish without a top coat it's fine for a whole day. As for the price, OPI has to be one of the most expensive nailpolish brand out there, with a price of approximately 14 euros, which is on the expensive side compared to the quality. Besides this all, I'm still pleased with the results and would definitely wear it to a party, a small get-together or even on a daily basis.

What do you think of this nailpolish? What brand nailpolish do you recommend?

PERSONAL | Five days in Stockholm

I tried to replicate the pictures I've seen in Stockholm - post here
I love alleys like this
stylish man on bike

Hej hej! I'm back from Stockholm and it was such a nice and wonderful experience. I loved everything about Stockholm! The people, the public transportation, the shops and the beautiful buildings. I loved how the people were so helpful and friendly in general. They say that Stockholm is the "Venice of the north" and I completely agree. Nara and I took about 8gb worth of shots in the past four days, so be warned for a lot of pictures coming! You can read below for a quick overview of the past days.

OOTD | Gong Xi Fat Cai!

ZARA pinstripe blazer, S'nob white blouse, ZARA plaid & lace short, Bershka kneehigh boots
Ok this is the best my Chinese could get. Happy Chinese new year! Now it's probably gonna be a surprise (sarcasm), but although I'm Indonesian I do have Chinese blood. My ancestors way back probably were Chinese who actually spoke Chinese. So why do I still celebrate Chinese New year?
Because it's fun! Who wouldn't want an excuse to eat yummy food and celebrate something? My favorite thing to do is probably reading Chinese horoscopes about what's in store for me this year.. It's weird because I'm not a vast believer for zodiac things but a lot actually really match the person (chinese zodiac) and it's just fun. This year is the year of the horse and as a monkey I should be having a stable year.. Hope it will stay that way. You can look yours up here.
What's your Chinese zodiac sign?

Now onto my outfit, I didn't really have time to really dress up for the occasion because I had to run some errands first and pack for my trip to Stockholm! I'm wearing my new Zara blazer and short. I wanted to buy this blazer fully priced but I'm glad that I waited and bought this for 30euros. The short was such a bargain, 10 euros, and I was tempted to buy more prints but I held back! At first I didn't know if I liked the combination of shorts and kneehigh boots but I kinda like it now, it certainly made me feel a lot warmer.

I'm writing this while I'm supposed to be finishing packing and it's already 3:30AM.. But I wanted to say goodbye first before I'm heading up north. I'd probably have WiFi there but I won't be bringing my laptop. You can follow me on Instagram though if you want to know where I'm at!
