DIY | From leggings to crop top

When I saw this on Youtube I had to try this out! How to get this cute cropped top from leggings or stockings. I have to say that the outcome is definitely better than expected. I had these shiny swimsuit material leggings (don't ask why I got it) which I don't wear at the moment or any time soon. So decided to try this DIY out. The only thing you need are a pair of scissors, preferably fabric scissors.

Here's how to:
1. cut the end of the stocking.
This will be your sleeves. The more you cut from the ending, the shorter your sleeves will be.

2. cut a little triangle at the part where the two legs meet.
This will be the opening for your head. First cut a small triangle, you can always cut more if the opening is too small.

3. trim the cut neatly.

Let me know in the comments below what you think of this easy DIY!

outfit | Spring layering

H&M faux leather jacket, H&M bomber jacket, H&M denim blouse, Zara shorts, Zara combat boots, Costes necklace

Spring is definitely the perfect time to experiment with layering. I've always been into layering because you can achieve so many different outfits by adding another layer. And yesterday's outfit is my first spring layering attempt.

Do you like to layer as well?

ootd | Tied shirt, Bomber and slip ons

H&M bomber jacket, Primark jean shirt, H&M jeans, H&M slip on shoes, Revival necklace

Hello there! Wearing my new slip ons for the second time.. which I finally broke in. My first time wearing them was awful! I couldn't walk the day after because I had blisters. I guess that is what I paid for. Wearing these platforms make me feel like going back to the 90s, so I paired it up with a knotted jean shirt and bomber jacket. How much more 90s can you be?

What do you think of this outfit?

Another reason why I'm so into the 90's again is a British tv series "My mad, fat diary" which is set in 90's as well. The show is focused on a 16year old girl with mental health and body image problems, it sounds like a heavy subject. But they approach it with a hint of humour, which makes this show awesome! I think I've cried from laughter and sadness at least once for each episode. The accents they use when talking made it very hard to understand sometimes, but after a while you get used to it and don't even remember how it was weird before. Oh! And the soundtrack is pretty awesome as well, with some old school jams! So definitely worth to check it out.

DIY | Personalized mug (gift idea)

Finally a DIYpost. Sorta? For a course at uni I wanted to draw on porcelain plates, so I needed to test it out first for the prototype. So why not make a video out of it?! It's really easy to do and a nice idea for a gift!

Let me know what you think!

HAUL | Bandana slip-ons!

I was sitting downstairs when suddenly my dog was barking like a zombie apocalypse was about to happen. I was happy though because that means my H&M package has arrived. yay. I ordered these slip-ons with a platform and an awesome print. I love the bandana print, makes it look more badass. Can't wait to wear it with cropped jeans in the summer. The platform gives me a few inches extra and I at first was hesitant to buy platforms but the slip-on model makes it much more appealing! These were 19 euros but with a couponcode on their webshop, 15 euros.

What do you think of these slipons?

personal | Off for a run

UNIQLO sweater, H&M shirt, Forever 21 yoga pants, Nike air max thea

Waking up at 8am in the weekend is harder than you think. Since the weather has been nice lately, I decided to start running again. It's been at least three years already since I've done it, so I'm definitely a bit scared to start from scratch again. But you got to start from something, right? I've seen a lot of apps that will help me with my running pace and endurance but without any goal is quite hard to keep motivated, so I'm thinking about joining a running race.. The "Nike's women: we own the night 10k" race. It seems like a real challenge but maybe a bit too far reached, so I still want to prep myself first before I sign up. The race looks really fun though. There will be a lot of sports, fashion, design and music seen/heard throughout the race. We'll see how much I can challenge myself..

Have you ever joined a running race? Any tips and tricks?

Unknown trenchcoat, H&M white blouse, H&M ripped jeans, Geox white shoes

I feel like I've been posting outfit posts too often.. You guys mind? I wanted to show you guys this, because it's the first time in a while where I don't where something black or grey! I think it deserves an applause. I'm wearing my high waisted ripped jeans from H&M which was neglected for too long (not anymore) and my trench again. I wanted to make the outfit comfortable and summery by adding my Geox white leather sneakers since I'm planning to go to the library to study.. I know what unfortunate.

What do you think of today's outfit?

OOTD | Trench it up!

Unknown trenchcoat, MujaMuja laptop bag, H&M shirt, H&M jeans, Primark shoes

Yesterday's outfit. The weather is keep getting better, so it's time to pull my trenchcoat out of the closet! I just love the model of this trench, it's light and 'flowy'. I remember seeing this last year on Queen's day (which is now called King's day) and it's been never worn and only 5euros!

OOTD | My new sheep of a friend

H&M light grey sweater, Primark striped crop top, H&M black jeans, ZARA combat boots, Mango necklace

What a sunny sunday! The weather has been so good to the people in the Netherlands lately and today has been an official 'no jacket' day. So with every person enjoying the sun, I thought I'd enjoy it while feeding some animals at the children's farm. I'm wearing my high waisted (which is not so high waisted) jeans and paired it with my crop top and statement necklace. To make it a bit more edgy, I added my new purchased boots from Zara.

Enjoy the last few hours of your weekend!

HAUL | Going on a combat!

 photo zaracombat.gif
ZARA leather combat boots
I've wanted some badass black combat boots for a while now, but couldn't fine one I really liked. I was going to buy just the basic H&M fake leather black boots for 30euros but they were sold out already. So my quest for the perfect combat boots was still there, until I saw these beautiful pair at the sale corner of ZARA. They went from 100euros to 30euros! And it is made out of real leather. What a bargain! I'm totally going to feel so badass wearing this. Can't wait to style them.

How would you style these combat boots?

OOTD | Is it the first day of spring already?

COS long blouse, Pimkie plaid scarf, H&M faux leather jacket, H&M ankle boots

The weather is keep getting better here in The Netherlands and I think that I could officially say that spring is here! This is what I wore yesterday, my COS blouse that I wore as a dress. It has a longer back, so my bum wouldn't be visible. The material is so soft, that got me thinking.. Maybe it's supposed to be pajama's but who really cares?

PERSONAL | ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

I just realised that today is the one year anniversary of this blog! How exciting is that? It has been a crazy and fun journey the past year. As I'm looking back now, I would've never thought that I would come this far and I'm so lucky to have you guys! I've learned a lot of things on the way.. How I shouldn't be afraid of putting myself out there and just go for it. But the most important thing is that I've realised how much this blog and blogging mean to me.

I was never the type to stick to one thing. I've always wanted to do many things or achieve things in life, I'm that kind of a dreamer. Learn to play the piano, guitar, how to knit, you name it and I've probably tried it. I'm not saying being a dreamer is a bad thing, but if you're like me and you can't make up your mind, never finish your stuff and easily get discouraged when it gets hard or lose interest, then life will be though. I've noticed this in myself and I'm trying to improve myself in that area. To keep on trying and go for it with my very best.

Posting on this blog frequently the whole year through is a big achievement for me. I know, some may think that it's only been one year, but believe me that this is huge for me. Do you think that this is my first attempt at blogging? Heck no. I've probably had two others before this when I was younger and both of those were just ones where I rarely posted. But it does makes me realise how much I love blogging and how much I wanted it to work out.

I wouldn't be writing this without all of your support. Whether you follow me or just stumbled on this rambling post, I am grateful for you guys. I still have a lot to learn and I will continue to do so tomorrow, a week after and two years on from now.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

HAUL | Back to basics with H&M

 Blazer 45EUR here
Wool sweater 12EUR
Tricot top 10EUR here
Legging 10EUR here
Rings 5EUR here

I'm obsessed with blazers at the moment and I'm really digging the 'minimalist' and basic style as well. Seems more mature and you can never go wrong with some nice basics. I especially like the soft colors of the whole ensemble that I just purchased online and the cheap prices aren't bad either. I'm planning to go to Primark before working on schoolproject tomorrow to get some socks

What do you think of my haul?

I'm planning to go to Primark before working on schoolproject tomorrow to get some socks, I'll probably gonna end up with a whole lot more. So expect some more haul-posts soon!

OOTD | Green on black leather

COS blouse, Seven Sisters jeans, H&M faux leather jacket, H&M peep toe wedges, H&M hat
This week has gone by so fast! I could barely process my weekend. Oh well, have to start my week well with an edgy outfit. I'm wearing this COS blouse (which I'm totally stealing from my sister's closet) and I just love this dark green color on black. The color combination reminds me of Oliver Queen from Arrow (I know I'm obsessed) and the hat finishes it off.
Hope you had a nice weekend!
