HAUL | Taking it easy

I decided to start blogging by taking it easy.. What's easier than a plain old haul and a little try-on haul. I saw these two pieces at Primark and immediately knew that it was going to be a piece I would be wearing a lot. The black top has a plisse as a touch of detail which makes the top looks more expensive than the 11euros I spent. The skirt is such a eyecatcher, I immediately saw potential. You could wear it fancy with some heels or dress it down with these H&M sandals (also known as the "jesus walks" sandals). I wouldn't combine these two pieces in particular but it happened to match together quite well.

Thank you for sticking with me. I'm trying to get this thing back going on, so please be patient with me while I'm taking this blog (perhaps maybe Youtube?) to the next level :)

HAUL | CK sample sale

Just like at the beginning of the year, I went to the Calvin Klein Sample sale last week. This time there was no Karl Lagerfeld like the previous one but still okay. I had nothing in particular in my mind to buy but still managed to get some nice stuff.

As I went inside I immediately went to the bags area, I've learned from the previous sample sale that bags are the most sought after and are more 'limited'. As I was there, nothing really caught my eye and was kinda disappointing, so I roamed around for jackets and other stuff. This electric blue summer jacket caught my eye. I'm currently obsessed with everything blue, especially dark blue. It's not something for the winter weather but it's still wearable for the fall weather, since it's made of this scuba material.

As I was walking around my sister called me and told me that they're restock the bags area with different bags every now and then. So I went back and basically guarded the racks. I had literally 10 bags in my hand but managed to cut them down to two bags. And I absolutely love these two bags I've found. It's not made from genuine leather so each bag was 30 euros.

Lastly, I bought my first push up bra from Calvin and I must say I get the all the hype now. It is the best bra I've ever tried on. It feels so luxurious and it looks good on. It was only 13 euros and I'm so bummed out I didn't get more.

Overall it was a success. I didn't get like an overbearing load of stuff but I'm really happy of the stuff I did get!

What do you think of my haul?

NEW IN | Missguided lace-up front bodysuit

Ever since I saw this top on May from OhMayGod on her instagram, I knew I needed one as well. But since I'm quite busty I was quite concerned how it will look like on me.
It can go either way.. really trashy or just really fashionable. And a little detail of the design of the top can make it or break it. For example I don't really like this one from NastyGal  since it is a bit more revealing and the little rings make the top look more cheap. This one on the other hand from Nelly, I do like. The only thing is the pricing of that one. So I put on my detective glasses and went online searching for the perfect top/body for less. Since I didn't really know how you call this model I literally entered every term I could think of on Google to search for that particular model a lace-up front top, tied-up front, criss cross top, a 'lattice' (I've never hear of it before) and every variety of each term. The most common term used for this is probably the lace-up front, so if you want to Google it up then look for this term.

After some digging I came across with this lace up body from Missguided, the perfect bodysuit! I like that this is a body and has a ribbed texture to it. I still find 30 euros on the pricey side but since I've never ordered on Missguided before I used the new20 discount where I get 20% discount. I couldn't decide between black and white, so I got them both. There's no delivery costs to the Netherlands on orders above 60 euros, but since my order before the discount is above 60 euros I don't pay for delivery! In the end I had to pay 25 euros for each bodysuit.

I'm quite pleased with the quality and fitting of the body and can't wait to wear this out! But I'm still not comfortable wearing something so revealing.. So it's getting used to it. I'm planning to do a 'How to style' video on this, so keep an eye on the blog!

What do you think of this upcoming trend?
Would you wear it?

NEW IN | Shearling jean jacket

Guess where this jacket is from.

To be honest I'm not ready to bring out the winter coats out of my closet. Since Fall/Autumn in The Netherlands usually is just cloudy most of the day with a hint of sun sometimes, it's not responsible to just put on a lightweight jacket. Usually I just wear a leather jacket and put on a scarf if it's get chilly outside but sometimes it's just nice to grab something and go.

This jean jacket is perfect for this. The jacket is fully lined with this shearling fabric so it's still warm inside but doesn't look like a snowstorm is coming. I'm planning to replace the black leather jacket with this shearling jean jacket, because lately I've been wearing leather too many times.

The best part is that the jacket is from Primark! For only 23 euros. Did you guessed it correctly?
I was looking for a pair of pants (which I still need to buy) but came across this jack.

Outfit will follow soon!

HAUL | Karl & CK sample sale + story about the red bag

As promised my Sample sale haul! I usually don't buy branded underwear or bikini, but since it's Calvins I couldn't resist. I think I'm good for the upcoming summer. Not really colorful but oh well. I love the details of the white bikini, with black linings with the brand name on it. I like the simplicity of it. The other bikini is a black and white one as well but is more graphic. And I just love the model of the bikini top. I also managed to get me some soft bras with the iconic elastic band, I didn't found them right away. It was on my third and fourth round. Unfortunately I couldn't find the iconic and well wanted underwear set but I'm still happy with these ones. The bikini sets are 17euro each, bra's 13euro and underwear 8euro. I also managed to find a bomberjacket from CK. I was hoping to find one and I did! Although I'm pretty sure it was placed in the wrong section and is supposedly for men but who cares? It had an original tag attached and was prized for 300 euro and I bought it for 50euro (score!). Finally, the winner for todays haul of the sample sale is this gorgeous bag from Karl Lagerfeld.

So what's the story behind this bag? When we arrived, I went straight to underwear section and the clothing section of CK.. I totally forgot there was a Karl section as well. Which I regretted because the accessories of Karl Lagerfeld are the best. I still went through everything and didn't find anything interesting.. Until we were about to go to the cash register. But my sister still wanted to try some shoes, so my mom and I sat near the shoes and bags section. A splash of red caught my eye through the mass of people as I was sitting on the bench, but it wasn't sitting on the rack but it was carried by a girl in her arms. I fell in love and I was so desperate to find myself one as well. I went to the racks but couldn't find another one. The girl was standing there with her friend hesitating wether to buy the bag because she wasn't so sure on how to style it. In my head I screamed 'Then give it to me!', but I stayed quiet and quietly moved where she was going. I then saw an older women holding the same bag in another color and the color was beige and kinda perfect too and I saw that she was hesistating as well. What's wrong with them? The bag is perfect! Anyway so I had my eyes on both people. I know you'd probably think why don't I just ask them that for the bag if they don't want it?
I don't know if I'm a bit weird or even a bit mean but if the roles are reversed and I was hesitating and someone was asking me the same question, I would probably buy the item. Because I would think that it's something worth having and that the item is really wanted by everyone. Who wouldn't like that? So I stayed put and continued to observe. Then everything happened so fast. The older women but the bag down, I grabbed it and then the other girl put it down as well at a different rack and I grabbed that one as well. Suddenly I had two bags in my hand. To buy both of them for myself is probably really irresponsible although I was contemplating it. My mom liked the beige one as well, so we both bought one! Since it was real leather, they were 90euro each. I tried to google the original retail price but couldn't find it. I only saw the bag on one german blog but not available for retail.

What do you think of this haul?

Sorry for the long story on the bag! But I really wanted to share this with you.

OOTD & HAUL | On with the white sneakers trend

The first thing I did in the morning as I lay in my bed is.. checking the weather forecast of today. It's something I usually don't do since most of the time I'm driving in a car to uni and be indoors pretty much all the time, so I don't really care for some rain. But today was different..
I wanted to wear my new white sneakers so badly! Although the weather app told me that it was going to rain, the sun was shining and the sky was blue, so I risked my shoes for a quick errand. I wore my sneakers with some dark grey jeans and light grey sweater. I'm obsessed with this color combination. Perfect basic colors!

So let me tell you the story of the white Nike Airmax Thea. Like most of my hauls I didn't plan to buy them when I was at my local sport store called the Perry Sport. I received a mail from them that they would be having a special sale night and because I was a member of some running club I could get some extra discount. It was after work that I decided to pay the store a visit even though it was a bit of a detour to my home. I was planning to buy some new sport leggings or a cute sports top, unfortunately I didn't found something I was too excited about. As I was heading out the store I spotted the new shoes collection section and these ones stood out the most! I have been wanting to get on the white sneakers trend but wasn't too keen on spending a lot of money. With all the discounts together, I got 28% off which makes these babes 86 euros instead of the 120 euros. Great deal huh!

Are you on with the white trend? What do you think of these white sneakers?

NEW IN | Plastic heel

I wasn't planning on buying something in the city, but then I found these H&M transparent plastic heels for 50euros (and it was Valentines gift too myself :P ). I've wanted nice shoes with a transparent plastic heel for a long time. Ever since the designer collab of H&M with 'Maison Martin Margiela' in 2012. Unfortunately those ones were too expensive for me, I'm just a student after all. So this H&M ones are perfect replacement for it. The heel is a bit too high though, since it doesn't have a little platform in the front but it's something I can work with. Can't wait to wear them!

What do you think of these shoes?

HAUL | BARCELONA haul in less than a minute

Better late than never right? So here's my Barcelona haul. At first I didn't know how I should show my haul without it being too boring, so I made a quick video (with quick, I mean real quick). It takes less than a minute! I hope you enjoy! It's a bit different but I like the outcome. Don't feel like watching the vid? Click below to see pictures!

Before I went to Barcelona I did some researching (actually a friend did) and I found out that all the inditex stores (Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear and other smaller Spanish stores) weren't having any sale at that moment of time, like in The Netherlands. So after some digging, the sale or 'Rabaixes' as they call it, started on 7th of January, the day before we were leaving Barcelona. So to avoid any danger we avoided stores and refrain from any shopping till that faithful day. The 7th of January was every man's nightmare. Every store was crowded with people and shopping bags, apparently rabaixes is a big deal for Spanish people, which I totally get, I mean helloo Zara sale. It was probably even a bigger deal for us since all inditex stores are cheaper in Spain and with the added discount even more cheap. So I didn't hold back and spend a lot of money in one day, from 12am to 10pm.
The biggest problem here is that I wish I spend some more!

Click below to see pictures and a bit of a backstory of some items!
Let me know in the comments below what you thought of the video and the haul

NEW IN | silver boots

Did I really just buy another boots? Yes I did and I'm not proud of it but as I was wandering around in Primark, this was the one item that I knew I had to have. I have always wanted to buy silver boots but didn't really want to spend a lot of money for it, since I don't really need new boots, so this from Primark for 22 euros is quite a steal. I love the zipper and the details of the brushed off colours. The silver zipper you see on the pictures is fake though, there's another 'blind' zipper on the other side. I got these in a size smaller, it falls a bit bigger because of the slight pointy nose.

The challenge now is, how am I goint to style these boots? I already have a couple ideas and I can't wait to show you guys.

What do you think of these boots?

NEW IN | the long journey in finding the perfect zipper-in-front boots

I've been obsessed by shoes with a zipper in front ever since I saw a pair at a vintage store in Antwerp a year ago. I regretted not buying it so much, that it kinda became a mission in life to find one. I've encountered a few in the last year, but I never felt 'right' with it. I think the first pair that really peaked my interest the same as the ones at that particular vintage store a year ago, are the ones from Monki the summer collection 2014. At that time, I was a bit unsure because of the price ( I was probably broke), so I thought I waited it out till the sale.. And of course it flew off the shelves quite quickly so it didn't even make it to the sales or me able to buy it. And there's a similar one currently available at Forever21, here, which I've bought online and decided to return it because I didn't like the chunkiness of it and the material was not something I was looking for.

This one tho.. I couldn't resist. I didn't even know Zara was selling them (I usually look at their lookbook) until I was visiting the shop in Amsterdam. It was something I knew I had to buy even though it cost more than I was willing to spend but I had the money and the shoes were there.. I couldn't resist. I bought a size smaller than I usually wear and it fits perfectly.

What do you think of these boots?

NEW IN | Costes soft pink coatigan

It was a bit of unexpected haul that day, but I was hanging out in the city and it was one of those days where you want/need to buy something but can't seem to like anything enough to spend the money. So when I saw this pink coat I was quite pleased especially since it's on sale and I have really been digging costes for a while now, so it was a no-brainer that I was going to buy it. There were two other colours available, a bit of a dirty light blue and a brownish grey one. I eventually got the soft pink one since I didn't own any pink coats before. The fabric is a mixture of polyester, wool and mohair, which gives it the hairy look to it. Don't be fooled though, the fabric seems warm and fluffy but it's quite the contrary. The texture is neither soft or rough, somewhat in the middle and it's quite thin. So you definitely need a warm vest underneath it, which makes the weather bearable. That's probably why they call it a 'coatigan' (I've learned a new term, yay). Despite that this coat doesn't really work as a winter coat, I couldn't leave it behind for 45 euros (originally
 90 euros).

What do you think of this coat?

HAUL ft Coco | Autumn staples

 photo haulcoco.gif

(My new cat, coco, decided to hijack this post by refusing to move away from the camera.)

I've been obsessed by clothing with a high neckline/halter ever since I saw it on Amanda Valentine the first episode of Project Runway season 13 (awesome season btw) and it has been my mission to buy a few. The ones I've found at Forever21 are perfect for the fall! I love wearing dark green (hunter green is how they call it online) for fall and the ribbed material makes it more appropriate for the weather, although it's cropped (seemingly inappropriate), it's a perfect basic piece to wear underneath a off shoulder top. Few outfits are already forming in my head.

I can recommend everybody using the Forever21 webshop! Way better than the crowded small spaces where you can't find anything and everything is a chaos at the Forever21 store in Amsterdam. So it's worth the shipping costs. The best part is that it arrives the next day you ordered (two times straight).

You can find more pieces that I've bought below.

HAUL | Spontaneous Primark shopping!

When I go Primark shopping on a mission to buy certain clothes/stuff, it usually ends up disappointing and results in stuff I don't really need or really like. But when I don't really plan to go to Primark but just happens to past by with a friend, the best things are found which is really bad for my wallet.
So I didn't really plan to go to Primark, but I do needed those shoe liners for my Flyknits, so I decided to go there for a quick second.. Which as you probably can guess took a bit longer than a second.

First thing I found and fell head over heels is this marble/see-through striped cropped shirt. And yes, I did bought two of them.. Because I couldn't decide to have it in my normal size or a size up. I'm crazy like that. It was 8euros though, so it wasn't that bad of a decision. Next item I found was this blouse which reminds me of 'batik' and thought it would be cute for the summer with a white short or skirt. This was a bit pricey though for Primark, 14 euros. When I saw these heels I couldn't decide which to take. I have a wedding ceremony to attend to but still don't have the dress, so I thought white strappy heels are usually safe same goes for the black strappy heels, plus they're super cute! Each was 15euros. The last few items are just some basic necessities I thought I should have. The pink bag arm bracelet is for me to attempt to run outside and get some cardio outdoors. Hope it will help me.

What do you think of this Primark haul?
(sorry for the inconsistency of the colours on the pictures, I edited it on my iPhone (yes I changed my phone, finally!) which made it hard to match all pictures)

x J.
