ootd | Spring cleaning

An outfitpost of a few days back. Simple black and white (and grey) outfit, my favourite at the moment. I need to get out of my blogging funk though. Haven't really got the blogging inspiration lately. So sorry for the lack of fashion related posts.

I feel so uninspired lately, not only fashionwise but in my everyday life as well. I feel like I'm just going through the motion of life. That's why I decided to clean up my closet (I really mean throwing things out of the back of my wardrobe) and sort it out. Throw things out that I really don't need and maybe even replace things for better ones. Maybe that's what I need to do for my current situation that I'm living in as well. It's time for me to get out there and leave the past behind, create some new memories and do what I want to do.

Do you know that feeling of just going through the motion? How do you deal with it?

OOTD | preparing for Kingsday

H&M shirt, New Look pleather vest, Primark skirt, Converse all stars
Finally we're able to wear skirts or shorts without stockings here in The Netherlands! Perfect timing, since tomorrow is a national festive day, Kingsday. It usually means wearing something orange, eating, partying and visiting flea markets. But the night before Kingsday is usually a night for partying. And since I haven't been going out in a while, some girlfriends and I decided to go to a beach party. Still indecisive though of what I'll be wearing. So I'm heading to the city to find me some goodies.

Have a nice weekend!

HAUL | Frame your eyess

Dolce & Gabbana glasses

First of all, Happy easter! If you celebrate it, what are your plans for it? Going to have an Easter breakfast, brunch, dinner or all three? For me, it's just going to church and eat a lot of Indonesian sweets.

For those who see me walking down the street without glasses, most probably think why is she ignoring me, is she blind? The answer is yes.. I haven't treated my eyes properly, especially if you imagine me reading on my bed with almost no lights on and being on the computer almost 24/7 for school as for fun. So yeah, I do wear glasses, but only when I'm watching a movie, reading a book or am behind a computer, at least I try to.. (yes I'm wearing one right now).

Anyway, these are my new glasses! I love the cat-eye shape to it, it almost makes me look like a librarian or a secretary but that's what makes it awesome. The glasses weren't cheap though, the frame is from Dolce & Gabbana and the glasses are some bulletproof made glasses (kidding.. I won't be able to catch a bullet with my eyes for you, but the glasses were expensive as well). I wouldn't be able to buy this without leasing it. So basically, you pay a little amount of money each month for over two years, with free insurance. That's ideal right? And if the two years are over, you can choose to pay it off, return the glasses (who would ever do that?) or choose another pair of glasses to lease.
I'm doing this at Iris Optiek, so look if they're in your neighbourhood!

ootd | Some library essentials

H&M cropped sweater, Primark blouse, Bershka jeans, Chuck taylors.

As I've mentioned in the previous post already, it's still exam week! So I'm basically living in the library at the moment. What am I wearing? A simple but comfortable outfit. Here's a list of essentials when going to the library, not to mention to not forget to bring your books with you.

My library fashion essentials:
1. wear a vest or bring an extra sweater which you can easily take on and off. It tends to get colder after sitting a while.
2. wear pants that are stretchy or loose fitting.
3. wear flat shoes or sneakers, the sound of heels can be annoying when it's über quiet.
4. bring a hair elastic with you, so your hair won't get in your face while you try to concentrate on your books.
5. wear natural makeup so it won't smear on your face when you wipe the sweat off your forehead from studying hard.

6. don't wear rings or bracelets, it will get in the way when you're trying to take some notes.
A watch is okay though.

Do you have some other essentials that you like to share?

And if you're on the same boat as me, good luck and let's kick some asses!

ootd | Examination week

H&M long vest, Unknown shirt, H&M waxed jeans

Some of you might be in the same place as me at the moment, in examination week, test week, whatever you want to call it. It certainly has one thing in common, stress. I'm writing this post now while on my mini study break at my uni's library. Thank god for opening till 2am, so I won't feel that guilty writing this.

So this is my outfit of the day.. before I went to the library though! I had to run some errands in the city and changed my shoes at home first, before heading to the library. So it's fully library-proof.

HAUL | The perfect parfois bag!

Parfois retro sport collection 2014

I have been spending so much money lately, not anything I could wear though but craft supplies for my project. I'm so worried to look at my bank account. And on top of that, mid season sales are everywhere! So I couldn't resist taking advantage of that!

I saw this bag at our local department store, Vroom en Dreesman, and I had to have it! I immediately fell in love with the print, not everyone's taste but it certainly got my attention. It wasn't on sale or anything but my friend who works there told me that they'll be having discount stickers, where you can stick 20% off any item you want. So I waited a week to get it, and boyy was that long! When I got in store to buy it, they didn't have it on the display anymore, but the salesclerk was so kind enough to look in their storageroom and sure enough they still had it.

The bag was eventually 26 euros which I think is not bad at all! And you get two straps with it, one for the day when running errands and the other one for the evening with a more sophisticated look. It's like having two different bags! I'm really loving Parfois, they have a really nice collection for reasonable prices. My first time buy, but definitely not the last!

personal & food | People who love to eat are always the best people

First of all, if you haven't eaten yet I'm sorry for showing you guys this beautiful meal of art with perfectly sliced beef, fresh and colourful vegetables.

I love taking pictures and I love food, so taking pictures of food takes my loving to a whole new level. And so I would like to present to you my new favourite place to eat without feeling guilty! It's called 'Greenbowl' located in The Hague, Netherlands. I like to call it a saladbar and I think it's one of the first ones in The Netherlands (at least in the Hague). You can order from a menu or create your own salad. The best part is that the toppings/fillings for your salad are unlimited. They have all these superfoods, like goji berries and such as special toppings as well. And how cute are those boxes they serve the salads in! The price ranges from 5euros to 12euros depending on if you want meat, chicken or an omelette with it. I had a small box with beef and I man was I stuffed. You'd be surprised at how fast you actually feel stuffed.

If you're in the neighbourhood of the Hague, you should definitely try it out!
You won't regret it, the owners are nice and the place has a cute atmosphere.
You can check their facebook here for more information!

Are you a salad person?

ootd | Denim on denim

Levi's denim jacket, H&M shirt, Bershka jeans, Nike janoski

One of the perks of having older brothers is occasionally receiving their stuff and things that they don't use anymore, like this Levi's denim jacket. The sleeves were a bit too long but I like it rolled up anyway. And it has no pockets, which is a bit annoying since I'm used to having pockets in my jackets. But I can't complain! It's still a rockin' denim jacket. I was in a hurry and just grabbed a simple tee and it wasn't until I stepped a foot outside that I knew that the weather was really nice, so I grabbed this jacket for the day. I've been loving the denim on denim look lately though, so it all worked out. Also, I feel like I've been neglecting my janoski's since I've got my Nike thea's, so I thought I give it some daylight.

What do you think of the denim on denim look?
